Nvidia’s ambitions now come with a staggering price tag. The semiconductor giant has identified a cumulative revenue opportunity of $1 trillion by the end of 2027, effectively doubling its previous forecasts for its upcoming Blackwell and Vera Rubin chip architectures. This projection underscores its drive to dominate the construction of global AI factories, a market it is aggressively shaping through a dual strategy of technological expansion and ecosystem penetration.
The financial muscle to pursue this vision is formidable. In the past fiscal year 2026, Nvidia generated nearly $97 billion in free cash flow, which is being channeled into aggressive research, stock buybacks, and its base dividend. For the first quarter of fiscal 2027, management is targeting revenue of approximately $78 billion. This firepower is backed by a concrete order book; CEO Jensen Huang revealed last month that the company has secured over $1 trillion in orders for its graphics processing units stretching to 2027.
A key pillar of its growth is an expanded partnership with software specialist Cadence Design Systems, announced just days after a significant stock surge. The collaboration is centered on robotics and autonomous system design. Cadence is integrating its physics engines with Nvidia’s AI models to train robots in highly accurate computer-generated simulations, bridging the critical "sim-to-real" gap where simulated data often fails in physical applications. Nvidia is already using this technology internally.
The partnership is yielding tangible hardware. Cadence has launched the Millennium M2000 supercomputer, powered by Nvidia's new Blackwell GPUs. It delivers an 80x performance increase for electronic design automation and life sciences compared to its predecessor. The alliance also extends to building AI factories, using digital twins to optimize facilities virtually. One test in a large-scale plant showed a 17% increase in tokens per watt by modeling GPU operation at reduced power.
Concurrently, Nvidia is making a concerted push into the media industry. At the NAB Show starting this weekend in Las Vegas, it will demonstrate new AI tools for professional video editing to over 60,000 attendees. A specific project involves the direct integration of Nvidia’s RTX technology into Adobe Premiere Pro, featuring a new color grading mode that uses GPU acceleration to drastically shorten content creators' workflows.
This flood of strategic news has fueled a powerful uptrend in the company's shares. In a ten-day streak through mid-April—its longest consistent rally since late 2023—Nvidia's stock advanced 18%. The stock is currently trading around $198, with analysts citing rising demand for agent-based AI infrastructure as a primary driver and pegging its fair value at $260. The data center business, which grew 75% recently and now constitutes the lion's share of revenue, provides the core momentum.
By advancing into robotics, industrial simulation, and media production, Nvidia is deliberately reducing its reliance on pure server customers. The company will offer further insights into the industrial application of its Vera Rubin platform and other AI solutions at the Hannover Messe on April 20, with additional software integrations showcased at NAB through April 22.
