hallo leute, ich hoffe eine neue chance gefunden zu haben,Tripos Inc. mit der WKN:
891408 ,ähnlich wie bei broadvision läuft hier auch eine "spinouts and recapitalizations businesses" geschichte ab!zwar siehts noch nicht ganz so rosig aus, aber jetzt sind die weichen neu gestellt...  mit einer verwässerung muß gerechnet werden, aber ich persönlich denke bei 10mio shares outstanding und einer marktkapital. von lediglich 6,44 Mio. USD sind bei einen turnaround hammer kurse möglich, woooow,...ach ja, natürlich eine spekulative sache, also nicht gleich pipi in den augen bekommen, das kann volatil werden!kein GARANT!no risk no fun!

 

ich hoffe, es dauert noch etwas, bevor die großen investoren einsteigen, damit man noch step by step nachkaufen kann!im orderbuch sind nämlich oftmals schon große orders drin? schauen wir mal, auf jeden fall ist das ein enger markt, also nicht gleich zu teuer hinterher steigen...

Die deutschen Indizes dürften heute von den festen Vorgaben aus den USA und Asien profitieren.

Die Marktteilnehmer hatten gestern mit Spannung auf die Zinsentscheidung der US-Notenbank gewartet. Die FED hatte den Leitzins wie erwartet, bei 5,25 Prozent belassen. Die Äußerungen von Notenbankchef Bernanke wurden dahingehend interpretiert, dass es in der Zukunft sogar zu Zinssenkungen kommen könnte. Damit soll den in der letzten Zeit schwächeren US-Konjunkturdaten begegnet werden.

Die Märkte reagierten mit deutlichen Zuwächsen. Der Dow Jones konnte um 1,3 Prozent zulegen und an der Nasdaq wurde sogar ein Anstieg von 2,16 Prozent erreicht.

Von diesen positiven Ergebnissen wurden auch die Börsen in Fernost beflügelt. Infolge der positiven Vorgaben von der Wall-Street schloss der Nikkei 1,49 Prozent über dem Vortagesniveau. Der Hang-Seng-Index in Honkong schaffte es mit einem Anstieg von 1,2 Prozent auf 19,754 Punkte.

Die Händler rechnen infolge der positiven Rahmenbedingungen mit kräftigen Kursaufschlägen am heutigen Handelstag. Einige Experten gehen sogar davon aus, dass der DAX heute mit einem Anstieg über 6.750 Punkte eine Doppelbodenformation abschließen könnte. Damit hätte der deutsche Leitindex weiteres Potential bis zum Jahreshoch bei 7.040 Punkten.

Tripos Discovery Informatics, a leading provider of discovery informatics software to aid drug discovery, today announced that Jim Hopkins has been named Chief Executive Officer of the newly private company. The Discovery Informatics business was recently purchased by Vector Capital from Tripos, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRPS), and will function as an independent company. The company also announced two important appointments to the executive team: Dr. Richard Cramer, chief scientific officer, and Dr. Robert Clark, vice president of research.

The company will focus on innovation within its current technology portfolio, specifically enhancing the core functionality and user experience of its computational informatics product suite SYBYL. Additionally, the company will continue to support the large pharmaceutical companies that have adopted Tripos’ Benchware enterprise-class products, through professional services, customer and technical support.

During the ten years prior to joining Tripos Discovery Informatics, Hopkins has been an executive officer or served on the boards of more than a dozen public and private companies. Most recently he was Chairman and CEO of Micrografx, Inc., a Texas-based Nasdaq-listed graphics software company that was sold to Corel Corporation. He became acquainted with Vector Capital while on the Board of Directors of Corel as a result of Vector’s purchase of Corel. He has taken companies through the IPO and Secondary public offering processes, and has conducted strategic acquisitions and sales of both public and private companies.

Also joining the newly independent Tripos Discovery Informatics is Dr. Richard D. Cramer as chief scientific officer (CSO). Dr. Cramer served as the vice president for science at Tripos, Inc., for the past 24 years. Dr. Cramer is best known for the invention of CoMFA®, the first and most widely used 3D-QSAR technique. He is also the founder and former chief technical officer of STATS, Inc., the leading provider of sports statistical information. The company was eventually purchased by Fox Sports. Dr. Cramer received his PhD in Physical Organic Chemistry from MIT.

Dr. Robert Clark was also named as the vice president of research. Dr. Clark has over 25 years of experience in the industry and previously served as the vice president of scientific research and director of the Informatics Research Center at Tripos, Inc. He has played a key role in the expansion of Tripos’ world-renowned technology for elucidating quantitative structure-activity relationships (QSARs), molecular diversity, combinatorial library design and pharmacophore identification, and has published extensively in these and related areas. leute das sind gute news, vector capital hat sich an das unternehmen nun beteiligt! das unternehmen kann fortgeführt werden mit neuem cash und unterstützung!die machen nichts anders als bei broadvision, da haben sie sogar angekündigt weiter cash reinzubuttern, wenns nötig tut! sind aber nun profitabel!

also bei Tripos wird nun das gleiche wahrscheinlich gemacht wie bei broadvision, denke geht erstmal ins OTC segment :TRPS has failed to meet NASDAQ Global Market continued listing requirement(s). sollte das unternehmen wieder gefragt sein, ist ein comeback nach einer bestimmten frist möglich! dafür sorgt vector schon, denn darauf sind sie spezialisiert!

Tripos shareholders OK informatics sale to Vector

Tripos shareholders approved the $25.6 million sale of the Brentwood company's Discovery Informatics business Thursday, according to Tripos CEO John McAlister.
The buyer, Vector Capital of San Francisco, is acquiring what is the largest business unit of Tripos. Tripos is among the smallest public companies in St. Louis, and Vector Capital has said it plans to keep the business in St. Louis. McAlister said Vector has hired about 110 former Tripos employees, including roughly 90 in the St. Louis area.

The deal with Vector had been announced in November.

The sale had been opposed by Tripos' largest shareholder, Huntleigh Advisors in Clayton. McAlister said exact vote totals were still being verified by the company's stock transfer agent.

A representative from Vector could not immediately be reached for comment. The private equity firm previously said it plans to retain the Tripos name.

The sale is a key step for Tripos, which is in the process of liquidating its business. Tripos eventually hopes to pay out between $6 million and $12 million to its shareholders, or roughly 58 cents to $1.15 a share, according to information the company filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission about the sale. The company's stock currently is trading at 58 cents a share. The business has a market value of $6 million, down from its heyday of $200 million in 2000.

McAlister said Tripos continues to negotiate the sale of its Discovery Research business in Bude, England, with four potential buyers: Provid Pharmaceuticals Inc. of North Brunswick, N.J., two other companies Tripos declines to identify, and member of the Tripos management team in the United Kingdom. Provid had agreed to buy the business earlier this year for $2 million but failed to provide assurance it could finance the deal.

Tripos (Nasdaq: TRPS - News) has been publicly traded since 1994, when it was spun off from Evans & Southerland Computer Corp., which had acquired the business in 1987. A Washington University professor started Tripos here in 1979 to capitalize on the company's specialized software tools that allow molecular modeling.

Tripos had relied heavily on a research contract with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. That deal contributed close to half of Tripos' revenue in 2005, when the partnership came to an end. The Tripos board hired Seven Hills Partners of San Francisco in August 2005, several months ahead of that contract expiration to consider its options.

Tripos has faced a difficult market since its spinoff, he said. At the time the company was undercapitalized, and it faced an increasingly competitive pharmaceutical market while its costs to remain a public company were rising.

"It's still a good business, just not good as a public company," McAlister said.

noch ein antasten, man bekommt schwer aktien, bisher gibt kaum jemand billiger her!seit ein paar tagen schon so...step by step mini aufwärts!sobald hier wieder richtig volumen rein kommt, könnte es schnell rauf gehen, da der wert völlig ausgelutscht ist, wegen der androhenden pleite völlig leerverkauft worden...halt panik!

noch ist alles träge, die aktionäre geben nix raus und so dauert es, bis ein fließender handel entsteht...die altaktionäre haben ein übernahmeangebot glaube ich um 54cent bekommen oder die möglichkeit mit der unterstützung von vector das unternehmen fortzufahren...man sollte das orderbuch in zukunft weiter beobachten, daran kann man oft viel erkennen...

step by step rauf!was mich immer wieder wundert ist, das da immer wieder eine große order dabei ist, heute 25000 order wieder? davor 19000stücke...usw...

   
       

...Tripos rauf, noch haben viele den übernahmedeal nicht geschnallt!kurse von 2-3 euro würden eine marktkapitalisierung von lediglich 20-30mio sein, vector capital ist sogar bereits weiter geld zu investieren damit der profit erreicht wird! was die bei braodvision geleistet haben, wissen wir ja nun und auf deren homepage steht tripos nun auch in ihrem portfolio gelistet! es gibt keine namensänderung, es bleibt trotzdem ein eigenständiges unternehmen, nur jetzt gehört tripos zur vector capital gruppe! für mich persönlich ein strong buy...sobald die profitabel sind, sind sehr hohe kurse möglich!
