| Solid UptrendDow trends higher, closes in on 9,200.
From prior commentary, "...Since the Dow ended the day on a strong note, off support, we could see it continue trending higher within the boundaries of the consolidation. An upside break through the top of the consolidation at 9,100 will negate the bearish pattern and imply a continuation move towards the highs..." The Dow pushed higher within the boundaries of the sloping consolidation today, but formed an intraday consolidation that catapulted the index higher to the Close, as seen in the 15 Minute Chart.
